can a trrs male,format unknown, one end to a trs male opposite end be used as an extension for trs headphones? an inline volume is included. if yes does it matter which end is for phones and source? if no would I need a phones with mic to take advantage of the trrs plug? would I need an adapter to convert the trrs to trs male/female? full details please.
