Hello,I need to know if a burned DVD-R will play in Australia burned in USA?

    Hello,Thank's for your help in the past.Today I have a question.I burned a DVD-R in the USA and sent it to a friend in Australia is he going to have any problems playing it on his DVD recorder?I burned it using Nero.Thank's again.

    Not if you made it Region free.

    Also I am not sure of which video format is used in Austalia, but if it isn't NTSC like in the states there will also be problems.

    Ok I just googled and have found out that Australia uses PAL (Phase Alternating Line) So your friend will have issues playing the DVD on a stand alone DVD player. They should still be able to play it on a computer just fine. Now as mentioned above already unless you made the disc region free there will be another issue all together.
