help a newbie---ripping audio from dvd to wav or mp3

    i'm wanting to rip audio from a dvd to use as movie quote samples on comp cds...i've looked and followed suggestions on the board,but still can't seem to do it right. can anyone please walk me thru step by step or post a link to something that may help me out
