    hello i got my files ready and now im trying to make a subtitle file but i dont know how? i have my subtitle written in word pad but how do i turn that in to a subtitle file and put in with the video?

    If it's going to be shown with a DivX video it should be saved with the same name as the video, eg the video Myfile.avi has subs named Myfile.srt
    If you want it to be part of a DVD movie, the DVD has to be demuxed then remuxed along with the subs.
    If you have an AVI and wish to burn the subs as a permanent part of the movie, the .srt file has to be converted to an .ssa file and processed onto the video with the likes of VirtualDub.
