Okay, I have read all forums here, and just CANNOT figure out what the heck I am doing wrong :(
I followed the Nero buring process guide here, and I STILL am coming up with a blank cd-r.
I FINALLY got my mpeg all doing what it was suppose to in TMPGE(I wanted to break it down into two cd-r for VCD format) I get a burn was succesfull message and nothings there. I also put the disc in my cd just to see if it will show the files there, and theres not even any files on the disc!
This is what the Nero log said:

The one thing I can't do for some reason, is to change the speed, and it looks to me like it is burning at different speeds. :O
    Thanks

A thing I don't like to see is: Recorder: < Image Recorder> Version: Not Available - HA -1 TA 0 - 5.5.9.16. It seems that on nero you don't have instelles your burner. Are youable to butn other CD types with Nero? Maybe you can install it by selecting Recorder__Choose Recorder (CTRL+R).
But I don't know. Maybe you can try to make a VCD image with VCDGear? (and burn it later..)

I have burned Audio files with Nero before. BUT I just got a new computer, and I just installed Nero onto this computer, which is a HP. I can see that its showing what Recorder I have: E: Lite ON Combo SOHC 4832k(ID:0 HA1) I assumed this program would also run with this computer??? The cd writer I bought and added onto my other computer, so I did not come as a bundle with the computer itself. Is there another burning program that I can use then till I figure out what is wrong??
Also, I installed the INcd but on the desktop, quick launch icon there is an exclamation point with a yellow back ground triangle which usually means some sort of error, correct?? When I try to click there, I get a pop up that just gives me the version details. :(

I could suggest you to burn simpler CDs (music? data? VCD?) on a CD-RW with Nero, just to check if it works.
Otherwise Alcohol 120% works much better than Nero, works on much more burners and can burn the .NRG images made by Nero if you do, in Nero, Recorder___Choose Recorder__Image Recorder insted of a real burner.
This is the simplest thing I can suggest (but after some time, you'll need a registered version of Alcohol 120%, buy it if it works).

I have had the same issue as posted here, my dvd burns fine, then when I try to play it on my dvd player or even on the dvd player on the pc i burned it on I get nothing. When viewing the DVD through windows explorer it says 0kb. Even thoough I can see on the DVD itself that it defintaly was burned.
    Anyone have any clues?
I burned a DVD with a different program the other day and had no issues.
