    (You want your video to be playable for years to come,)
    Try the following simple but important solutions.

    1)Use a higher quality media.
    The media you are using AML is about as worse as you can get .

    2)Use DVD+R and booktype to dvd-rom (If possible on your setup.)

    3)Burn no more than 1/2 the maximum speed of the disc.

    http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm

    The following list is in preference order. The best discs are near the top of the list. The discs at
    the bottom of the list are suitable only for a landfill.

    Almost flawless burns with 95-100% reliable results:
    PVC = Pioneer = (-R)(-RW)
    MXLRG01, MXLRG02 = Maxell = (-R) ... be aware of unbranded fakes
    MCC = Mitsubishi Chemicals = (-R)<-----------------VERBATIM MY CHOICE #1
    TDKG02 = TDK Corp = (-R) ... be aware of unbranded fakes
    TAIYOYUDEN or YUDEN = Taiyo Yuden = (-R)<--------------FUJIFILM (made in japan) MY CHOICE #2
    .........

    Also using +r media and booktyping to DVD-ROM,
    Will increase compatibility on older stand alone players.

    Ok you had 1 somewhat successful. Now you've had 2 programs giving you bascially the same error - reset occurred

    Seeing if there is a driver update for the usb controller might help.
    The other thing is to see what processes are running in task manager - something maybe hanging up the burner.
    Post a screen shot.

    Binkie ....my frustrations reached the zenith and I went and bought the Roxio Media Creator. Now things are much more smoother.
    However, I am not sure what the problems are really. With Roxio I am able to burn with all the programs running as well as with different devicec connected.
    I do miss the 'easiness' of NERO though!!

    Yeah I can't blame you there - I'd be frustrated too.
    If I come across a more defintive solution for Nero I'll let you know.
    Txs for letting us know that Roxio did the trick for you!
