If some one can help me they're my hero. Anyways, Last week my DVD burner was working fine... today it isn't!? I don't think it crapped out 'cause its less than 6 months old hardly used and still reads things, just doesn't write them. Ive tried CopyToDVD and get about as far as it asking to "insert blank media" and won't read it, Ulead DVD Workshop 2 which says "the disc is not empty or there is no disc in the buner", and Ahead Nero 6, which doesn't get past "waiting for the drive to become ready." It won't burn CDs any more either. But the furthest I've got with anything so far is to try and burn a cd with Ahead Nero which stopped about half-way through and put out the following log (see below). If anyone has any idea as to what I should do please let me know!! Thanks! 1) did you try different media ? 2) You have the latest firmware (look in Nero Info Tool) ?? The web site shows A104 as the latest ! http://us.lgservice.com/gcsc/b2c/hpi/main Might be worth it for you to get that firmware , thats what firmware is all about , correcting problems as they develop on burners after they are put on the market.
