HELP !! eurovox ex5000 channels scrambled

    Hi there can anyone help me please recently purchased a eurovox ex5000 installed software when applying channels most of them coming up scrambled, not sure where to go from here tried eveything that i have seen on this site and nothing is working PLEASE HELP !!!!!!!

    Are you scanning on the right symbol rate?whereabouts are you based?

    am not sure based in wallasey area
    6.952 at the moment is that right
    frequency 100

    lol lucky i.m a pool fan as that would me nothing to most folks in here,is that merseyside,england?try 6.952 first make sure your coaxil cable is in the rf socket on the box and your scart is firmly secure into tv scart on the box,sart frequency 100mhz end 800 mhz,if that dosn't work try 6.887.

    ok i'll try that it is merseyside england yeah
    are the frequencys and symbol rates different for different areas ?

    the frequencies are usually the same for the uk give or take 100mhz from 800mhz(best to go that far just to be on the safe side)the symbol rates depend on your provider n@l=6.887, telepest= 6.952,not 100% sure but i think your area is 6.952.Take a loook in the eurovox link under my pic and see if your doing it as per Hiteck's guide.

    new to this site may be me bein stupid where do i find the Eurovox link?
    do alot of people have issues with channels bein scrambled

    i have virgin cable if that helps !!!

    tried 6.952 and also 6.887 on freq that you said still not working all channels are scrambled
    any other ideas ?

    on that link you asked me to look at saying freq should be 666.750 is this the start freq and should i try this ?

    is there a cable problem in your area?check and see if your channels work on your tv without the box,by the way did you scan from 100mhz to 800mhz?

    cable seems fine we are getting standard channels
    started at 100 and end was 800 as you advised

    any other ideas what this could be we feel like throwing the box in the bin doin my head in !!!!

    press menu config system info and say what it says you say you loaded software,where did you get it from?

    the firmware you have just sent when trying to open saying read only document

    another quick question when i was downloading software i had to get a USB adapter for my laptop to put software on Eurovox but when trying to do this pc was saying could not find driver software any ideas what is happening with that is there anything i need to change on pc so it will recognise the adapter ?

    just click on the word firmware in my last post.you will need winrar or winzip to open it,you should have got a little cd with with your usb adapter if not try here http://www.gilsson.com/usb_drivers_download.htm

    no still hasn't worked tried all what it says on dowloading drivers for software hit a brick wall don't know what to do next !!!!

    if you no any one with a pc with a serial port thats your best bet especially if your using vista

    there's gotta be a way to do this on a laptop with vista otherwise what is the point in having the laptop haha
