    Hi everyone,

I have just moved to Charlesland and I brought my trusted Max V with me (first thing I unpacked!) Basically I have been trying for two days to receive frequencies of some description but am failing miserably. The TV socket on the wall has a TV and FM out connection like the one in this picture http://homepage.ntlworld.com/altisuk/fm/isolator.jpg

I bought a cable that connects to the Eurovox RF IN and the above connection. I have done full scans with 6887,6875 and 6952 but still no joy. I noticed that while scanning some of the above symbol rates, the signal bars in the top right corner of the screen sometimes have eighty odd percent signal and go green. So why am I not picking up any frequencies??

I would greatly appreciate any advice or help that anyone can give me,
    Thanks in advance,
    Charlie

AFAIK Greystones and Ashbourne are 2 of the very few areas left with only analogue signal and even NTL cannot supply them with Digital.

Thanks for the reply. Are you sure about that? Ntl said they could give me all the digi channels plus broadband and a phone line. I know someone else in the same apartment block and they also have broadband and digi tv. Do you think maybe my apt is disconnected at the box?

Maybe have a look at this thread

Maybe they have changed it in the past year, I know of a few places that are still analogue only.
If its an apartment your more than likely on digital, especially if someone in the block has it.
You could be on NTL MMDS

I find sometimes with the eurovox you have to manually enter the transponders, So I'd try adding the ones for NTL, NTL MMDS, Chorus and see how you get on and scanning on 6887 then if no luck 6875

you can take down the frequencies from your neighbours box

Thanks man, sorry my neighbor doesn't have eurovox, just a standard ntl box! So any ideas where I can find these frequencies?

    NTL MMDS
257-387 mhz so heres the transponders

    257
    273
    291
    305
    321
    339
    353
    370
    387

not sure the NTL and CHORUS ones but I'm sure a search will bring them up

Also prepare for alot of scrambled channels if you are on NTL as most have moved to N2

the live cable feed coming into your apt must be cut,so youll have to get the basic ntl pack ,they will come and set up your cable feed coming in,you wont get many channels with your eurovox try getting a kryptview or sv4 as these are working on n2
