I cant get the latest software on the PVR.I am using the same cable i use for my starview(the usb cable that joins up with the r232 cable)It works fine when i am putting software on a starview.When i load the PVR loader with the latest software it waits a min then says something like "update fail,retry" but no joy. Does the pvr have to be in "standby mode" like when u are flashing a starview. Please help P.S I have my cable going into the "cable input" where does the "loop through cable" go?
Hi With a TheBox PVR Two ways to do it. You can use a usb cable (PC usb to PVR usb) or Null modem cable Com port to PVR Com port.Don't think there are any other ways. For PC to PVR copy the file to the pvr's hard disc and use the menu software to flash the file or use null modem cable to flash with the proper loader. jbvid
