Hello. I've recently bought an Ipod video (30gb) and have really enjoyed and liked it. It was pretty easy because I had a nano previously, but its lcd broke so yah.
but back to the video, I'm trying to put videos into the ipod, and it does import and stuff and show up on itunes, but the only problem is that the audio will be there, but the actual video will not appear.

    HELP, PLEASE??

Are you converting with iTunes? Because sometimes the iTunes converter makes the audio disappear when your video's audio is on the same track as the video itself. iTunes can't convert these files with sound. If you are, then I suggest getting Videora iPod Converter for all your videos here:

If this doesn't work, then are you getting no sound in iTunes or on your iPod?

Are you getting to them through the music folder or video?

no, i dont use the itunes converter, (actually, i only use it for wma files for MUSIC, but not the videos).

but, i dont think i clearly asked my question.

see, my video file is already mp4 (the ipod video files) when i downloaded it, and it goes pretty smoothly, no problems.
i go to FILE and click ADD FILE and the video shows up on the video section. but, when i go back to my ipod, all i see is a blank picture, and just audio. i've tried this with like 3 different movies, and all were the same. (i got most of my videos from limewire, and some randomn sites.)

Want to make sure I'm understanding you....

After you turn on your iPod, you are selecting Videos, Movies, then the name of the movie? There is no picture at all, just sound.

Which IM do you use? I'll send you a little movie file to see if it works.

I have Yahoo(monkey_phat_kim) and AIM(monkeyphatkim), either one is fine.

Try a soft reset by holding the Menu+Center buttons until the Apple logo appears.

    To Gracehelp

If your Ipod is black while playing video try checking the video settings and making sure the TV Out option isnt On

SUPER is free and affords converting any file except .rm's to any other formats (for iPod too).

I've had very good luck using CloneDVDMoblie from slysoft. theres a free 21 day trial so you might give that a try

Try this, in your video ipod, go to menu video->video settings->tv out, set it to ask or off, then play the video again.

thank you everybody who suggested the tv out and in or whatever.
i figured out this by myself almost right after this forum while messing with my ipod. really, just messing around with your ipod and playing with the controls really does help. thank you. i hope anybody who needs other help will look to this forum and find the answer.

    thanks again. :]
