Help Making AVI/H.264/MP4 files with DD 5.1 Surround Sound

    Hi

    I am wondering if it is possible to create these file types with 5.1 surround sound from a DVD source file, they are not going to be used on an iPod, just watched using VLC.

    I have a G5 2Ghz iMac.

    I have used MacTheRipper to copy the DVD to my HDD and now I'm stuck.

    Any help would be great.

    Handbrake will not work for you. It does not encode 5.1, only 2-channel.
