okay i burnt this dvd n it works for the first half hour than is say unable to play disc did i burn it wrong or is the disc jus messed??help me out
coastin, For starters, Please try to post in English so that even though you don't post anything worth while we can at least understand you. So far you haven't supplied any information. LQQk, This is an example of the type of information we need, fill in as much as you can ~ it's all important ~ What are your PC's specs ? What programs are you using ? To rip ? To edit ? To Burn ? What Guide OR Guides are you using ? Was there an error ? What exactly did the error say ? Exactly where were you and what are you doing when your error occurred ? IMPORTANT: Do you have an error log and can you post it ? What is the name of the DVD you are trying to backup ? Is your media clean and free of "smudges", "scratches" and fingerprints ? Is it a download or a rip ? What type of media are you using ? (Of major importance if you're having any trouble writing to, reading from OR burning to your disc.) When was your last Disk Defrag ? If you have to think about it, it's been far too long. You need to do it now ! ! ! Let's answer all of the above so that we have an idea of what's going on . . . Pete
o sorry wut i meant is that i downloaded a movie than i converted it to a vob file using winavi n then i shinked it using dvdshrink n then i burned the movie onto a 4.9 gb dvd disc n when i played it in my ps2 the movie wud play for about the first 30 mins then it says unable to read disc
hi try burning slower, did the disc need compressing? if not i would still check it in dvd shrink and by doing this set shrink to 4300 custom so as not to use the end of dvdr as on chaep media you will get problems!
eh?? try burning it again, the chances are the disk that you used was faulty, if it happened after 30 mins of playing
I certainly hope the disc size is a typo . . . I'm thinking that either the disc was of the "cheapo" variety. Using a better media can never do anything but help. You may well create an error when burning by burning too fast. If you were burning at 4X, slow down to 2.4X. Trust me, burning fast causes more problems than it's worth. Also, the cheaper the disc, the slower you need to burn to "get it right". Let us know how you make out, Cheers, Pete
