HELP.. minimizing games

when i minimize games that take up the whole screen, it goes black for a quick time then shows the desktop (like its supposed to do), but then a couple seconds after seeing the desktop and everything being normal, a second black screen appears for a couple seconds. im thinking its a video problem because i can open programs during the normal stage and continue typing through the 2nd black screen.

any ideas how i can fix this? its really annoying

 

i had that problem , i bought a new graphics card to handle it tho, a geforce 8800gts 640mb,

 

is that for all games or just certain games?
