This can be your biggest problem... the media. I can only say that I have never heard of it before. Just because it was good before, doesn't mean a newer batch or even disks sitting for months cannot go bad as well. Before you jump through a bunch of hoops, try getting some Great Quality disks and see what happens.

Maybe, but your firmware needs updating anyway, Scuba beat me to that link (LOL). According to that list (link above), your DVD's are Bulkpaq DVD+R 4x (AML-002-000).
