    1. when i restart my computer with the windows xp cd inside it never asks me to boot from cd
    2. i try to perform the new installation method after loading cd after logging on, when i try to delete the partition it says that the temporary setup files necessary to perform the installation is there so i can't delete it.

does anybody have a solution to this problem. if you do i would greatly appreciate any help. thank you.

    - edit

nevermind. i found the solution to this problem, i went into bios and made it so that the cd drive would load before the harddrive

Hi - you need to set your boot order in the BIOS to 'boot from cd' as first. To enter the bios setup, you usually hit F2 or the 'del' key.
Save your settings and then restart the system.
