Hi i live in the glasgow area and i have 10mb Virgin broadband i just bought a eurovox ex 1000 sl and i cant get it to work. I tried using the flash guide but had no luck at all. first of all i tried scanning for channels and it did not find any on all occasions. I went and bought a null modem cable to connect to the box butic ouldnt connect it to my Advent notebook so i bought a usb to serial cable to plug onto that so i could connect the box to the notebook only problem i had was that is there are no cd drives on a notebook so had to download drivers from sweex.com so i did that and ran the darx program but it was giving me an error saying it cant find the port...i need help! either somebody to tell me what im doing wrong or if they can point me in the direction of somebody that can do it for me in the glasgow area Thanks
Read Hiteck's guide http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/674371 and make sure you look at Comm port settings in the guide.
yeah thats the guide i was using the 2 links below were not working when i tried to download the files Null Modem Com/Port setup Tutorial USB DB9 device coms/ports set up.
