Everytime I attemp burning a FULL DVD (usually 4.3G)through Nero 6 (Recode) or DVD Shrink, it always come out a bit choppy during the last 2-6 minutes of the end of the movie! Mind you that I'm using RiData DVD (Printable)! Just recently I tried burning the DVD onto a Verbatim 8x (Printable), but it still came out choppy. My Nero setting is DVD-9 4.7.

Why is this happening and come someone help me or give me some suggestions on what I should do please?

change the target size to custom and change the number to 4400 or better yet 4300. this way your not burning to the edge.

Dye distribution can be poor and uneven at the edges of the disc. So just do as flip says and you should be fine....

So for example, if I've got a file at 1.3G then I should put 1360 in as the custimization value.

    Examples:
    3.6G would be 3600 or 3610
    4.3G would be 4360 or 4370
    2.4G would be 2400 or 2410

    Thamks guys for your help!!

Basically anything under 4400MB should give you a decent buffer from the edge of the disc. No need to change it each time.

Hey guys! Another issue! I burned that 4.36G DVD on my Ritek 8X printable disc and again the last 5-10 minutes were choppy but when I burned it on my SOny DVD-RW, it worked like a charm! When I was in Nero I chnged the setting to 4400 as Flip said but I didn't check "Fit to Target"! I also have a pack of Verbatims 8X printable discs but I really don't wanna keep throwing away discs if it doesn't burn properly.

I haven't tried changing the custom setting to 4400 on DVD Shrink yet as I'm afraid that the disc is gonna go in the garbage!

    Any suggestions plz!
