Hello i have a compaq presario r3000 laptop with windows xp it used to freeze alot so now when i turn it on i get a pxe-mof error repeating on startup when i try to install xp or 98 it wont work i went into bios and ran HDD test and said no IDE detected but the hard drive does work cause i even put a different one in and still same message any tips
Your cmos/bios may be configured incorrectly... try removing the battery on the motherboard for a few minutes, then putting it back in and rebooting.
