Hello, I read the wonderful tutorial for ripping DVD's and burning them, however I have a slightly different application and would like some suggestions. What I would like to do is rip particular sections from DVD special features that contain multiple audio tracks (such as the sound design section on the LOTR DVD) and take both the video and audio into final cut pro add my own sound track to the DVD. I'm currently using OSEX 0.0101b and have been able to rip the video from single chapter files just fine (and compress them in DiVA) but I cannot seem to be able to rip the DVD audio! I tried using audio hijack to record the audio, but syncing it up is a PITA! Please advise a program that can rip particular chapters of BOTH video and audio and keep them in sync. Thanks in advance for your help!
mac the ripper can do that. it is free and u can dl it right here. it will rip particular chaapters with video and audio together.
Thanks for the help! I was able to get mac the ripper to rip the audio files into AC-3 files, and now I would like to convert them to Aiffs. Is there a free program out there that will do this? (only one I can find, River Past Audio Converter, costs $30). Thanks again for your help!
