So yea, my video driver crashes like a few times a week... I forget the actual message that pops up but this is what everything looks like after.

A bit like safe mode, but smaller res and uglier...

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

svchost.exe causes some problems... it likes to use 99% of system resources every now and then. I end process to find out its controlling the windows Volume device controller. Can I just use the Creative soundblaster mixer? or will both be affected by the svchost? Cause I'm kinda thinking it might be controlling all audio devices...

Any and all help would be great. Thanks guys!

Can you give us a screenshot of the error message for your video drivers?

As for svchost.exe, it hosts ALL services on your computer, you can check out the list of what's running at Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services. So don't end the process, chances are it's one of the services that's causing problems.

I think HijackThis scans services, but I'm not sure... Could you post a log?
