Guys, i feel dumb asking this question but I'm trying to install the plugin for Vobsub so i can add the filter + subs for this avi file i'm encoding.. I was trying to install Vobsub ver 2.23, and it gave me this error:

Error C:\Start Menu\Programs\VobSub is not valid path for AviUtil, not installing VobSub VirtualDub Plugin

Actually it was asking me where to select dir to install AviUtil..

I don't really know what it means or where that directory is? huhuhu help me I don't know what I'm doing..

It's just that I wanted to convert this avi file later to dvd, and i want to add subtitles, but the subtitles are in .idx + sub format!! AAAH =( help me =) i'll be forever grateful

Rename VSFilter.dll to VSFilter.vdf and place in the VDub plugin dir. I would however suggest using AVISynth instead. Same plugin, but no forced RGB24 colourspace conversion.
