help with clone dvd2

I recently purchased the sony dru-830a dual layer burner and
installed it..and it works fine.When I try to copy a dual
layer disk that I assembled at a friends house I put it in
the single layer drive and start up clone dvd with any
dvd...set the setting as custom at 8200mb and also have
tried the dvd +/- DL setting then started the copy
process...it reads fine and when it goes to copy on the
dual layer disk it justs sits there are the setting
up/erasing part and freezes wont move...if I put in a reg
dvd 4.7gb and use the custom setting at 4200mb it will
compress and burn just fine...It does not work at all on
the dual layer disks..Am I doing something wrong or does
clone dvd not work with dual layer disks???any suggestions

What setting do you have the speed set? If maximum, try lowering it. That Sony can burn dual layers at 8X, would most likely be way too fast. Generally most have it set at 2.4.

It is my understanding the CloneCD is a better program at handling the layer break. There are many free programs (Imgburn) that will work as well. Sorry, but this goes beyond my expertise, as I have not used DL's yet. You can peruse this thread:
