I have the cambridge soundworks desktop theater 5.1 (DTT2500 Digital) and a sound blaster live! platinum sound card... in windows sound setup I set the speaker config to 5.1 surround, but in my SB Live! audioHQ I can only pick quad speakers so I don't get sound out of my middle speaker.. how do I fix this?

    If im not mistaken
the SB live platinum only has 4 speaker surrounds sound.

I just upgraded from such a sound card to the SB audigy 2 5.1 - much better <nods>

the only way you can get 5.1 from a sound blaster live is if you have a 5.1 decoder and you use the digital out from your live card. which will be in 4.1 but the decoder will recode it to 5.1. thats what im doing right now but with a turtle beach santa cruz sound card.
