Ok I Just Bought An Xbox and haven't done nothing to it. As it said i checked the regular dashboard Xbox system info which had the correct numbers(Mine is K 1.00.5838.01 D 1.00.5960.01)After that I do the cmd on my computer to check the ipconfig. [IMG] (By the way, I'm using someones elses internet not my own). Ok I'm trying to set up my network to static. So I go to local connections>Tcp/IP Properties>Put In Ip address. [IMG]
Then I have to put in the Ip Address for Xbox. I click manuel config. And Put in this address
    Xbox
    Ip Address:192.168.0.3
    Subnet Mask: 255.2555.255.0
    Gateway: 192.168.0.1

    DNS (manual config)
    Primary DNS: 192.168.0.1
    Alt. DNS: 205.171.3.65

After that is all done, I try to connect it with the cord jack. The local settings connect it but, i don't receive pack from the xbox.[IMG]
I even tried to connect with FlashFxp but it doesn't work either. Can someone help me! Please! Was there a step that i missed?

I don't know if this will help but on mine I check obtain DNS server address automatically. When I first connected I also had alot of problems, I ended up just switching ip #'s like from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.0.100, 192.168.1.1, 192.168.1.100 etc..

Ok, there's a few things that I can see could be wrong...

The main one however is that you can't FTP an unmodded Xbox! Just won't happen, sorry!

Read my tutorials to show you how to mod!

Yes you can! But it's much easier to use another already modded xbox (a friend maybe) and FTP across the files to a memory card!

Read my tutorials to show you how!

    No problem!

Just whilst on topic, I've just been reading up on how to transfer the files with a USB stick... pain in the ass!

You have to edit the files with a text editor and all!

    Yuck!
