    Hello everyone,

SlySoft just released AnyDVD v5.2.7.1 and one of the items in the changelog is support for the Sony Accros found on HITCH (US).

    http://update.slysoft.com/SetupAnyDVD5271.exe

Will probably be officialy on there website in a few days, unless they make a few more modifications and make it v5.2.7.2 :)

I did it today. I used Anydvd new version and X copy Express. you have to uncheck the CSS KEY ARCHIVE in Anydvd. only thing you can't copy the entire disk you have to UNCHECK the entire disk in X copy. I did the whole movie but no menus. FOr all the trouble everyone is going through I wonder if the $19.00 would be more wirth while. lol.

I tryed DVD DECRYPTION and DVD SHRINK Both version Every fourm is talking about. Decryption worked fine but file was to big to copy so I tryed to shrink it, Shrink kept giving errors. Yes I know how to use them I've done many movies in the past using decrypt and shrink. Have fun and good luck. Remember $19.00 LOL

I tried creaky's method (download newer Decryptor 3.5.4) and it seems to be working (at least it's passed the 10-20% point).

What did I try before this?

    (1) My first try was the usual DVDdecryptor followed by DVDshrink. However, DVDdecryptor had one error that I aborted on at around the 10% point. Decryptor continued with the rest of the DVD (HITCH) without a problem. But Shrink didn't go anywhere! It said one of the IFO files (VIDEO_TS.IFO?) was not found.

    (2) As a result of (1) above, I ran one of my usual fix procedures that I found somewhere (to no avail, other than to get a "Invalid VOB files" message from IFOEdit):

    1) Launch IFOEdit and open the VTS_01_0.IFO
    2) Click on VOB Extras and make sure all check boxes are checked EXCEPT:
Remux, Rebuild PTS, Split to 2 DVD-Rs, and Remove IIvu/Angle Point.
    3) Select a new destination directory.
    4) Click OK.
    5) make sure Correct IFO Tables checkbox is checked.
    6) check all streams that are to be kept.
    7) Click Strip It.
    8) make sure Correct IFO Tables checkbox is checked.
    9) check all VOB Ids.
    10) Click Strip It and let IFOEdit process the files
    11) When IFOEdit has finished, close IFOEdit

In the new destination directory, IFOEdit may have created a couple of zero length files (VIDEO_TS.VOB and VTS_01_0.VOB). These should be removed.

    12) Restart IFOEdit
    13) Open the one of the new IFO files in directory D
    14) Click on "Get VTS Sectors" and say OK to all of the dialog boxes

    (3) But Shrink gave the same error. So I tried Creaky's suggestion to use Decryptor 3.5.4 and whoala!!

    What a "hitch"!

    Ashley
PS. Shrinker seems to be working fine now.

I still see people having problems, I have manage to copy the whole movie menus and all. This thread must have a lot to do with individual systems. I must say who ever wrote this program in to the movie has really turn some heads. My answer to this problem is listed in previous reply above. Someone give it a try and let me know how it turned out!!!!

Hey Im a newbie in a way too, but I figured alot of this stuff out on my own.Its not that hard! I was trying to copy some ps2 games and learned alot from this site. I then used the same info to rip moves that I had a problem with. So far the SONY movies are the problem ones but if you just use DVD Decrypter>ISO>then use DVD Shrink to burn, Alll is good! Hitch burned without A Hitch,,get it! I kill me.

Hi, complete newbie here, please be kind. Trying to back-up my first DVD. Unfortunately I chose Hitch. I have an I/O Magic DVD R/W 16X dual layer drive and am on an older machine with win98 se and plenty of memory.

I have 1click DVD Copy, DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink, all latest versions.

When I try DVD shrink it runs briefly and I get an error message. When I try DVD Decrypter it runs to between 2% and 5% and then simply freezes. No error message, nothing. Read rate drops to zero and the elapsed time counter keeps going. Closing the program gets a "Not Responding" message.

Thoughts and opinions? Is this a Disk read problem, a system problem, or what?

    Thanks for any help.

Been reading, haven't seen anything that seems to apply here. I'll look again though. Another thing is, when DVD Decrypter freezes, it freezes the whole machine. Often the machine will only restart in safe mode and I have to remove the two programs in order to get back to normal operation.

    Question???

I successfully copied Hitch using AnyDvd and DvdXCopy to a TDK DVD-R and it plays great on my PC...but not on the DVD Player attached to the Plasma screen...It displays the "DVD XCOPY Warning" and that's it. Bummer - If I had a 42in Plasma Screen attached to my PC I'd have no problems!!!! Any suggestions are GREATLY appreciated. Thanks

well you could run an s-video cable from your vid card to your tv or you could the right programs to make a good copy dvd!! I have had ZERO problems with the following, DVD Decrypter, save as ISO, then Shrink DVD. MAKE SHURE that both these FREE programs are the newest versions. You can get them here if you look. I did ! Good Luck!!

OK Guys, For anyone who's still having trouble burning Hitch, this is what I did, and got a backup on the first try.
First use DVD Decrypter to decrypt the FILES(NOT THE ISO) and store them in a folder named VIDEO_TS. Then Open the folder using DVD Shrink. Re-author the movie(it couldn't be simpler, because it doesn't even need to be compressed)and burn.
Hope this helps anyone still strugling
