i hope that this is in the right forum, if not i applogize.

i was given a computer. found out the version of windows was not legit, so i purchased windows xp media center.

i am now running into some problems.

i dont have much info on this computer.

at boot up i did a pause/break and this is what i am coming up with

asus p4sc acpi bios revision 1008

plug and play bios extension v1.0a

i have added a tv card and this seems to be fine.

    BUT......

i can NOT get the multimedia audio controller and the video controller (vga compatible) to work

    there is NO sound.

i have been to ASUS with no luck.

i am not sure what other info you need to help me, please just ask.

thanks for any help i need to get this computer going for my son

i found all the drivers that i need. but now i have just one more question.

i have installed a tv card that requires me to put the audio cable to the board. the cd -rom is connected to the mother board. if i remove the cd rom, then it wont work. how do i connect both of these cables?

try the cd-rom without audio cable attached to drive & motherboard by playing an audio cd. if hear music than connect audio cable to tuner card & drive.
