I purchased one of those 4GB MP4 players and I have a slight problem. When I placed music on it from my laptop to player (it's a simple plug and play) it worked great about a month ago. Now, however, whenever I plug the player in through the USB cord, my computer will not detect it and the screen display that used to display things being transfered between my laptop and player (a graphic of a generic computer with an arrow towards a graphic of the player and visa versa) all I get are the same two graphics but with sleeping Zs. Am I doing something wrong? Please help.

I don't think you are doing anything wrong.
I am 100% sure that what you bought is a chipod(Clones of ipods and high selling players built in china) and these things generally ruin after a month or so.
So I suggest you format your player.Instructions can be found here.Anymore help then just post in the thread.
