Help with my Christmas gift

I copied the file Sharepod.exe to my designated ipod drive (J). In drive J, there are the following folders : Calendars, Contacts, iPod_Control, Notes, a Sharepod 266 kb unzipped folder and the sharepod folder. I previously saved the sharepod program onto my H drive to scan with anti-virus then copy to my J drive, but I received the error below, so I saved the program directly onto the J drive and I still receive the an error when I click the Sharerpod exe:

> Error description : Subscript out of range

I use Windows XP home addition. I didn't install iTunes. I'm hoping to be able to use Sharepod, without having to install iTunes.

Any ideas from the minds of Afterdawn.
