help with playing HD movie file

    I have coreAVC installed. trying to run HD videofiles with media player classic, and it tells me that i dont have the right codecs. try to run it in vlc and it plays. but its choppy even when there isnt much going on. heres what im running

    athlon 64 3200
    2gb RAM
    7900gs videocard.

    connected to a sharp 26 lcd by HDMI cable.

    "HD videofiles" could mean lots of things. Sounds like maybe you are talking about an mkv containing AVC video? MPC should have provided some info about failed pins, etc.

    So now MPC will open up like its going to play the movie, but it locks up the program when its running on my TV, but on my monitor it runs just fine. got any ideas on why its doing that?
