Help with Starview box please - you were all there once!!

Hi guys and girls I have found out some information about the "HATTON" box office.Its found under PPV event and its showing the preview already. Hope you can find it,I cant wait !!!!!

Have Starview 2 Chorus Ireland (Limerick) - Did automatic scan - picked up a lot of channels

However missing some important ones:
Sky Sports 1
Setanta 1
all the Sky movies

Celtic,tried that it found 5 programes but none of the ones I want.More help please

 

Im not sure what freq you are looking for to manual scan ,

try this


Turn box off at the back for a minute and turn back on

Menu > Installation
Choose Provider etc
Automatic Scan
Press OK
Channels found
Exit


check the end of the channel list and see if you got anymore of them

 

Try another scan and see if you get any more , sometimes you have to do this more than once

 

hi guys-back again once more for your great help.
when i set up my box i originally SKIPPED my ppv channels as they were blank but lil did i know it'll be showing ricky fighting next wk.anyone of you guys know how to UN-SKIP a channel cos it aint registering at all(without a full rescan since i dont wanna mess my channels).tried a manual scan-that showed a ppv channel along with others but werent there when i exited.

Celtic Tried the auto scan no difference The programes come up in the menu scrambled or bad channel

 

Harry , Press Menu then 1570 and go into Nagravision and check your provider codes here

we are new to afterdawn and have recieved genuine starview the box in post already flashed for uk. we are in dublin ireland and dont know how to flash to 4.50 as talked about on forum. can anyone please advise on step by step procedure. have cable to connect pc to box from port

we are not great at this. i went to eamos and downloaded starview tutorial in a rar file which windows didnt recognize [couldn't open]
i am sorry to have to ask what should we download for starview the box. i know it should be easy but not for 40+

 

me again karljd i have to leave compuor for tonight if you get to reply to prior message i will get it tomorrow evening and will report our progress. maybe u will keep an eye on thread. i use plural [we] as we are three numbskull mates over 40 who thought we would get box each and just plug in and watch. should have known not that easy lol

All firmware/loader can be found in the link at the end of my post marked Eamos Library.

You will need the GTromloader, (Starvi*w Software Uploader), found in the Starview software folder of the link.

You will need version 4.50 firmware for "THE B0X" found in "THE B0X" firmware folder.

Updating Firmware

Connect your box and PC with a Null modem cable and switch on the cable box and put it on STANDBY.
(The Starview does not need to be connected to TV to update it with GTROM)

Open GTROM Loader software make sure that you set the correct COM PORT
that matches the one that is being used

Make sure App file only is selected, then click Bin File & browse to the firmware where you downloaded it to on your PC.

Run the GTROM loader by pressing Download and you will see the % progress increase
then Download completed message on your PC.
Wait until you see the DOWNLOAD COMPLETE pop up on your PC before
removing the NULL MODEM CABLE. The Starview will then reboot

Turn off and turn back on , then plug your tv cable and scart back in

followed instructions thanks very much and good progress but when i do automatic scan just finding 34 channell others on menu have only part wording of their channell name. turned on emu anything else i should change before scan ntl service

 

Maybe im wrong but go to menu factory settings press ok and then try autoscan again
