Thanks for the help...as a final comment, the disc burned OK after the driver disappeared...not before. So I'm wondering if the driver could have caused a conflict...I'll try the test with and w/o AnyDVD. Thanks again.
LOL You can get problems either way; not having the right driver or having too many drivers and they conflict. You can even have drivers for other software that causes conflicts. Roxio proved that big time. I didn't have the problem, but the forum is full of complaints where Roxio drivers messed up the Nero burning ROM. BTW, you're welcome.
