I am using NERO Express 6 and was able to burn 1 DVD and now I can't burn any more. The first burn was flawless so I was very excited about the possibilities. I even tried to burn the same back as the first attempt and get the same error message.

I am using maxell 4.7G DVD- disks with up to 16X max speed.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    I get the following message:

    And my log shows:

your version of Nero 6 is not the stablest version.... 6.6.0.18 is the most stablest version of Nero 6 and I would update it to that version. Here's how:

Before udating to 6.6.0.18 I would save the serial #, uninstall Nero, then use the cleaning tools : http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/eng/Clean_Tools.html
then do a registry clean up(free registry cleaner, CClean: http://www.ccleaner.com/download/downloadpage.aspx?1) and defrag...... then reboot!

    install package one:
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_burning_rom/?539

    then install package two:
    http://www.nero.com/nero6/eng/Patch_for_NVE3.html
reboot and you're good to go!

    - strange, this is blank, there should be references to atapi here -----uninstalling and reinstalling to better version on Nero should correct this!

Maxell usually are quality disks.... but these are RITEK:
and there is a good possibility that your drive doesn't like RITEK too much. now if your Maxell was the ones MADE IN JAPAN (MIJ) then you would have the best media you can get!

does not like your disk.... get MIJs!

try these changes and see if you have better success!
