    Sorry about the multipost. I was just eager to tap into this great resource.
    Any thoughts on my problems?

    @neroforum -

    - i'd say that's the main problem. I don't know much about SATA ports other than their speed, but presume DMA needs to be ON for those. How you do it i don't know, i presume you reload the drivers that came with the motherboard

    - i've only used G05's though haven't used G04's

    - seems ok so far....

    - splat!. that's by far one of the longest logs for a single burn that i've seen from Nero, it's on a par with the gumpf from a Nerovision log!. In fact you might want to edit the post and chop out most of the extraeneous bits due to "Sense Key: 0x03 (KEY_MEDIUM_ERROR)". Anyway, due to 6 trillion occurrences of "Sense Key: 0x03 (KEY_MEDIUM_ERROR)" i think it's fair to say your drive's having a nightmare with that disc.

    I'd say get the DMA sorted and do a 'simultion burn' so as not to waste any more discs, but if that doesn't improve things, all i can suggest is get different media as there's nothing wrong in the log other than (possibly) DMA....

    @neroforum hi :)
    the burn speed 4x is the max burn speed for RitekG04. ( to be safe i never burn over 4x) and in this case with the max speed of the disc being 4x i would only burn at 2x
    @ creaky hi :)
    haven't forgotten to pm you . just got the comp half working
