hey, i'm going to get an mp3 player very soon, but i need help on which one to buy. the ipod seems to be the one i want to get because a lot of people have one, and i want to fit in. but i am not sure if it is the best mp3 out there for me... i'm looking for a mp3 player that has big memory, lot's of features, and easy to use. please post any comments or suggestions

dude thats lame...don't get something because everybody else has one. if everybody else had herpes, would you want it to?

go to a store like cirtuit city or best buy and just play around with the different ones there and see what you like best. Different ones have different features, but it all depends on what you want out of your player. Do you want a flash player, micro drive, or regular drive? Are you going to use it to record, or just playback mp3s? do you want one with a tuner built in?

While the (crappy) ipod is definately the most popular mp3 player, several others offer better features and longer battery life. Check out creative...they have an excellent line of mp3 players, from small 512MB tiny flash players up to 40GB HD players...

I've heard good things about the creative zen players, and the Dell ones have gotten decent remarks also. Like I said, your best bet is to go to a store so you can actually play with them all before you decide.

well most stores will have display models with a song or two loaded on so you can check out the players features, as well as listen to the sound quality. but you're not going to be able to check out the software, although you can probably download it for free from the manufacturers website

i buy all my techno/compie good from newegg...over a thouand dollars worth at this point, and almost another thousand to go before i'll get done this summer...trust me,they're the best. rarely have i found a better deal, and they always deliver on-time or early. things that should be at my door 5-7 days after i order are often here in three, and that's traveling half way across the US. it's great!

they definitely deserve your business. they don't have any refurbished Zen's in stock right now, i don't think, but the ones for 270 are brand new. i believe they accept paypal, but it should say somewhere on the site.

didn't realize they were at 60 gigs already, and I also know people with Nomads who like them. Who cares if its ugly or not, as long as it functions thats all that matters. Would you rather have a Ferrari that drove like a Ford Escort (no disrespect, I loved my escort), or a Escort that drove like a Ferrari? Like the cheezy saying goes, its whats inside that counts
