Hi, i have a really big problem in my house that i dont know how to stop. I have a computer in my room that is generally used to access the internet. It was the only computer in the house that could browse the web. Until my mother went out and purchased a laptop with a linksys router. I set it up for her but my little sister is using the laptop to browse MANY porn sites a day without my mothers knowledge. Im not the best when it comes to conversations, expecially with a hot topic such as this.

What im asking is if it is possible to monitor exactly what is being display on the screen of another computer (laptop that my sister is abusing the porn on) using my computer.

    Im using a linksys WT54G
My computer is running Windows Xp Pro
The laptop is running Windows Xp Home
if there's any more info that im missing out on, tell me and ill post it up immediately. i just really need someones help.

p.s if im posting this in the wrong section, its because i didnt see a wireless related section on the homepage so i am extremely sorry for that guys.

It is possible to monitor what is being displayed on the screen of another computer on your computer, even control another computer from your computer through the internet or a network. However I think that the best way to stop this is to set up parental controls on your browser/computer. You can also restrict access to your wireless network by requiring a password so that you cannot access the internet unless your know the password. However since I have no network knowledge I cannot help you set any of this up.

Some routers also enable restrictions on what sites can be accessed, Im not to familiar with linksys routers but with mine I can add words to a block list which prevents others searching for that content, or I can also block certain websites that I nominate.

Another way is to configue a custom host file on the PC involved and block the main sites that are being accessed.

    Exspose Her!

...Or just set up a parental control block with NIS 2007.
