    Hi,
By the way, ewido is still detecting "trojan.dialer.qy" in files that are in "D:\windows\temp\ " and the name is "idd***.tmp.exe" where *** are wildcards.
so how can we get rid of this dialer??

    that line is stopped already.

Is your copy of windows illegal because you should be on service pack 2 by now? It's a necessity really to prevent from being infected.
I should have said it sooner actually, it makes this kind of pointless coz you'll keep getting reinfected but I still didn't expect to go on this long.

If your not illegal. get service pack 1 here and install it.
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...8-1684-4202-b2d0-c6a43430f12a&DisplayLang=en. This will patch insecurities.

The dialer is in your temp files.

    START – RUN – type in %temp% - OK - Edit – Select all – File – Delete

Delete everything in the D:\Windows\Temp folder or D:\WINNT\temp

    Download and scan with CCleaner
    http://www.ccleaner.com/downloadbuilds.asp
    1. Starting with v1.27.260, CCleaner installs the Yahoo Toolbar as an option which IS checkmarked by default during the installation. IF you do NOT want it, REMOVE the checkmark when provided with the option OR download the toolbarfree Basic version instead of the Standard Build.

    2. Before first use, select Options > Advanced and UNCHECK "Only delete files in Windows Temp folder older than 48 hours"

    3. Then select the items you wish to clean up.

    In the Windows Tab:
    • Clean all entries in the "Internet Explorer" section except Cookies.
    • Clean all the entries in the "Windows Explorer" section.
    • Clean all entries in the "System" section.
    • Clean all entries in the "Advanced" section.
    • Clean any others that you choose.

    In the Applications Tab:
    • Clean all except cookies in the Firefox/Mozilla section if you use it.
    • Clean all in the Opera section if you use it.
    • Clean Sun Java in the Internet Section.
    • Clean any others that you choose.

    4. Click the "Run Cleaner" button.
    5. A pop up box will appear advising this process will permanently delete files from your system.
    6. Click "OK" and it will scan and clean your system.
    7. Click "exit" when done.

    USe ATF cleaner again

Let me know if it's still detecting it after that.

    Your log is clean.

Question. Did you have to use ccleaner and my last post or had you gotten rid of the dialer already?

    Hi,
well, I used CCLEANER and after it ATF Cleaner again, as you told me to do in the previous post.
but till now I only get "frozen" when I try to run a game, or when I stay with the PC on for a long time, and I think I'll have to make more free space, cause a couple of times windows XP told me it had not enough virtual memory, and it will dismiss any memory funtion while it enlarges the page file.

I did not see the dialer, nor did ewido, and I hope I'm free of it.

what about the anti- ... programs?

    Hi,
I first downloaded Zone Alarm Firewall, but when i Tried to set it up, it said "Could not load the DLL library D:\Docume~1\.....\vsutil.dll (WSEDbgPrint), The specified procedure could not be found."
and when I click on "OK" it says "Could not load the DLL library D:\Docume~1\.....\vsutil.dll (VSSetProtection), The specified procedure could not be found."
is there anything I should do to fix this error, or just it is incompatible with my PC??
or should I try download another FireWall ?

You can tell by the heading in a hjt log

According to yours you haven't even got service pack 1 which leaves your computer open to all kinds of threats. You can go to microsoft's site to download the SPs but you won't be able to.

    HI AGAIN,
well, I tried before and I downloaded from Microsoft the SP2 but as you said, it didn't get installed, but I get from time to time automatic security updates, so may be I have the windows security patched??
the HjT said only win XP and yes, I have a very old version, first I had internet (connection) problems; it gave me 60 sec to shutdown, a friend told me I had (Blastera) virus and needed to be removed, but I entered through Millenium to Microsoft, and downloaded a security patch that solved the problem. and till a couple of months ago I hadn't much problems, but now even we didn't finish at all, the system is pretty much better, and thanx to your recommendation.
right now I have: Sunbelt Kerio personal firewall, and Ewido anti-spyware 4.0, updated to 15/8/2006, and each time it tries to get an update it ends in error, and no update is possible.
do you think I need more protection?
