Okay, please excuse my stupidity. I have borrowed a Sony Video Camera Recorder Hi8. It is not equipped with an IEEE 1394. It has a S-Video out. Can I transfer my 8mm tapes to DVD with my VRD-MC3 using a S-Video cable? Help.

Yes you can. This direct DVD burner also has an S-video connection.

Okay, I completed two DVD's using the S Video along with an audio out/in. Upon finalizing each DVD and viewing them on my DVD player there was a constant buzzing/humming sound throughout the entire DVD. The image quality was great, but you could barely hear the voices behind all that buzzing sound. The connections of both cables (S Video & Audio) were properly positioned. What happened?
