I'm having problems converting HD to DVD. I capture free over the air HD mpegs and use "Tmpgenc 4.0 xpress" for the conversion. The problem is this, Either the video is some what herky jerky or there are jagged edges.

I'd like to convert the High Def mpegs to a 16x9 format. I use Nero to burn it to DVD.

I don't have these problems with non-high definition mpegs.

if the "free" sat feed your ripping is actually direct tv the videos are in 1088i, slightly different for the sole purpose of making your life difficult when trying to copy it.

The High Def isn't from a satellite or cable, it's local over the air signal from my HD Antenna, hooked up to my ati wonder 650.

i have tmpgenc xpress 4 but unfortunatly i dont mess with hd stuff yet. it sounds like your video size is like one pixel off or something. a resize filter might fix it.
