Home made HD???

    Is it possible to install you own HD to a standalone recorder???
    I live in the uk and DVD recorder's with HD are around £380.. when recorder's without are around £125, So i'm thinking of buying a recorder and installing a cheap £30 HD.....Will it work??

    BTW: HAPPY NEW YEAR....

    Nothing wrong with fantasizing. ;) The best you could possibly hope for is maybe buying a recorder with a smaller hard drive and upgrading it to one with maybe 300-400GB.
