There will be a number of sticky threads added to the HTPC forum in the near future. This is a master thread for suggestions, criticism, or general discussion of these stickies. I'd like to get as much input from Afterdawn members as possible because HTPCs cover a broad spectrum of hardware and software (and media).

To get things started I've started a general HTPC FAQ. If you have suggestions for it, or anything else you'd like to see added let me know here.

Is it possible to connect a cable (that is used to receive a TV cable signal from outside home) to a LCD screen (that's normally used for a PC)? Does it need to go through a box or something?

Sorry if this is the wrong forum for this. Please direct me to the correct forum.

10,000 what? I can make a guess, but it would be better if you actually used the proper way of showing the number.

The one that sounds good to you. Whatever is the best is for you is subjective, not objective.
