Problem Hooking up Seagate Portable harddrive to Blue Ray Player

    When I insert a stick in the Patriot player it picks it up right away and displays Fat32 , do you think the issue is with the patriot or seagate

    what format is the Seagate in as in "fat 32", "ntfs" or what?

    maybe then,as scorp suggested, it could be an issue with hdd size.

    what size is your external hdd? to find your specs just google your player.

    what is the make & model# of the dvd player to see if can find your manual online? what capacity size is your hdd?

    My 2 cents. Your advice has been excellent.

    It doesn't really matter. You could alter the format of your disk but you can't shrink the HD size. You will continue to have to use a flash drive until you learn what your player will access then buy that.

    hey mez,yeah,you can buy a bluray player like mine now for under 100$ cdn.

    I bought a Sony 4 years ago for that. I got a burner last year for 60 USD. The problem is the blanks are expensive. I only have a 50 inch screen and it does a great job filling in detail. You can't tell the difference between a BR and a 4.5g disk/file in a blind test. We have few BR disks for that reason.
