ok I did the hotswapping process about 2 months ago and for some reason
my harddrive has been slowly messing up from there on. I think ive just put it through all it can handle. So i tried to hotswap it again and for some reason Xplorer360 doesnt recognize the harddrive i did the whole check for hardware changes in the device manager and it shows the xboxhd there so i go back the Xplorer360 and it still cant find it. I've done evything this tutorial has said to do and it still wont work. And if its just the program please tell me of any others cuz i also tried to use fatexplorer and it doesnt work either.

After you connect xbox's hdd to PC, make sure xbox's hdd and PC's hdd are NOT on the same IDE cable.

There are 2 IDE cables on PC: primary and secondary

    - PC's hdd is on primary cable ( + 1 DVD/CD drive option)
    - Xbox's hdd is on secondary cable. NO other drives.

I tried to hot-swap this evening but my computer couldn't see the xbox drive. Xbox still boots to error 21 and white Microsoft logo still appears under the big X and xbox.

Started pc and pressed the Pause button.
Started xbox and disconnected IDE cable right after white Microsoft appeared.
Connected xbox hdd to IDE 2 (pc hdd is on IDE1).
Pressed space bar to resume boot.
Checked Disk Manager to see if xbox drive was present (it wasn't).
Rescanned for xbox hdd (not found).
Started Xplorer360 anyway to see if it found it (it didn't).

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,
    codeIt

I tried it 5 or 6 times, and the last time I timed it so that I pulled the cable just as the logo appeared. Same result.

Anything else I can look at?

    Thanks,

SOMEBODY HELP ME FIX MY XBOX PROBLEM
please TheReturn help me fix my xbox,PLEASE!!!!!

ok.i dunno what's gotten into me that night,I had a fully working modded xbox with XBMC n everything, but then i got a lil bored messing with XBMC then i decided to check the other appz.

I rebooted my xbox with EvoX then i flashed my BIOS(dunno why i did)
I was shocked when i saw something like "erasing..." and after it was completed it rebooted automatically.
Usually before i "flashed" my BIOS,I dun get that flubber animation screen, usually i get that orange XBox logo and then it goes straight to my Unleash Dash(I hav Unleash,EvoX,Avalaunch in my XBox).

But then i decied to make that flubber screen go away by OVERWRITTING the "evoxdash.xbe" with the "default.xbe(from XMBC)"cuz i wanna boot straight to my XBMC menu.
Then after i've overwritten the EVOXDASH.XBE with that of XBMC i rebooted my xbox.

    AAAHHH!!!!! i get this:

    "XBMC fatal error:
    T:\guisettings.xml, line 0
    failed to open file...
    ....."

    PLEASE HELP ME TheRETURN!!!

    thank u in advance!!!
