If you guys feel like spending 80$ USD or 95$ Canadian on a mod chip it may feel like you can screw your xbox up installing it but its really easy. Same as i did and my xbox works fine then i sold it and screwed up another one and waiting on the chip ^.^

well i had unleash x on my box.

now it just boots to an evo-x dash (i didnt even have evo-x dash)
the options are launch disc, and system settings.
i tried to connect with my ftp. but it wouldnt connect at all...
id like any help i can get!

 

yep ftp will connect. On evox dash, goto settings then set IP address so you can connect to PC

Have you done ftp before?
do you have any autoinstaller disk?
is it softmoded?
does xbox still play backup games?

 

yea ive ftp'd alot of programs and dashes to my box.
ill try to assign an ip. my box was softmodded using a game save and i accidentily deleted the game save.

 

well ive accesed the hdd and im swapping files right now. ill let u guys know if that works for me.

Sorry for the newbish question, but what do you mean by root? All I did was take all the ms dash files i got from your link and put them in a folder called C in partition 3 and had three empty folders, CACHE, TDATA, and UDATA in a folder called E in partition 4...did i do something wrong??? thanx for all your help sofar TheReturn I wouldnt have even made it this far if it wasn't for you!

 

Look like you did not read the carefully. This is how the files look like in Xplorer360:

So you need Evox M8+ bios or Xecuter2 3294 bios for your xbox v1.6b.

download X2 Bios Build 5032 and Evolutionx M8 Bios and Evolutionx M8 Bios Plus. Read the discription for each bios to see which one you like. I think X2 bios is great.
