wow if u have a standard hard drive u can only fit about one game or one movie on it. The expansion map packs that u can get free on xbl come as an auto update u cannot go on Halo 2 xbl without it. It automatically puts it in the right folders and stuff. And modding old maps is against the law b/c u have to make a modded halo 2 disc to get by the security on the xbox live but u can get on with old maps modded on ur xbox with Xbox Connect. well actualy it is against the law. just not for what he says. in order to ftp you have to have a modded xbox. and modding an xbox its self or the games in any way is against the law.
Right and it's not that it's specificaly illegal, although I still wouldn't call up Bill and tell him wat wonderful mods I'm making, but the process that you have to do in order to do so is. So in a sense yes modding Halo 2 is illegal only because of the things you have to do to the Xbox in order to do so.

can someone tell me if it's possible to copy games to your x box hard drive with the unleash x softmod. and if it is how to do it?
very possible, if using misc/copy game disc doesn't work, ftp your box, have the game in the box but not active, ftp all the files in your d drive to your computer, now under the e drive make a folder called Games. if one is already there use that, ftp all the game files from your computer to this folder. start your box up again and go to your dash, under the main menu option games there is your copied game.
okay got you there thanks, but where in the E folder do i put them. for example, when messing with halo 2 maptacular maps. you find them in E, TDATA, and them in those folders. do i want to put files from the disc on there or, somewhere else?
oh yeah if you want the new maps from the pack, get them outta tdata and add them to your maps folder under halo2, which is in the Games folder, which is on the Edrive.
when u go to mod your map u sometime need to click fix incription or how ever u spell to make the map change
