How can I go about FTPing from my xbox TO pc (Not PC to xbox). You see, when I would like to veiw files and ftp them over on my xbox without having to use the computer, because a sibling is usually occupying it. I have googled it and yahooed it and tried many tutorials and if i see flashfxp one more time, i might throw up.
You may be able to use FTPXBOX an app found in the AID installers. This app connects 2 boxes it may work for pc. I haven't attempted to ftp from Xbox to transfer files from pc. It might work in theory but you need to configure your pc to act like a server enable a port like the xbox.
1. Ok first, get Filezilla, FlashFXP or i.FTP 2. Then you should have an ethernet cable connected to your router. 3. Then turn on your XBOX and find the IP Address usually under Settings/Network 4. For Filezilla, you should find some blank fill-ins near the top. Put in your Xbox IP address in the address column. In both username and password columns, put in "xbox" 5. Click on Quickconnect. It should now connect to xbox.
He meant that he wants to use the xbox to transfer files from pc and back but without having a to use a windows based program, being able to view the pc contents from the xbox to transfer files into it.
if your xbox is modded then u can get a ftp server on your computer. then use your xboxes ftp client to view it... no garuntees but it worked for me
