oh yeah and one more thing.

their is a math formula that says you need to keep your dvd's under 4.36 gb!!

dont ask me to quote it or explain it.

ive found that you can compress up to level 8 without a lot of picture and sound quality loss

for burning your files nero works well you can download a trial version.

hope i helped out a fellow newbie!

Just a quick note on DVDshrink usage. If you re-author the movie with Shrink, you will loose the menu operation.
To keep menu active, you have to click backup from 1st shrink window. I use CloneDVD with Anydvd if I want to edit the movie and keep the menu working. Just my choices.

    Hi guys,
I just downloaded DVD Shrink 3.1 from Doom9. Spent some time going over the guides posted at DVDshrink.info to get a feel for the changes. I've got Badboys 2 loaded up and ready to go.

dvd8man, you can't get Shrink 2.3 at DVDshrink.info anymore but I saw a download link at Doom9 for it. I would recommend 3.1 though. Those guides that jim_dandy mentioned are quite excellent and are avalible for Shrink 2.3 as well as 3.0b and 3.1. Take a look at the Nero Burning Rom guides too.

Jerry, Congratulations again! Now if we could just get an AD shirt!

    Best Wishes,
    Frank
