I have an old Dell Inspiron Laptop that had a bad motherboard in it. After I found out that it was not worth the money or time it would take to fix it. I decided to salvage any part of it that I could. Well long story short I decided to take the LCD out of the case and see if I could figure out the pinout to convert it to be a monitor to use with an xbox. I know that I will need to find out how to wire the power so that it will actually will turn on but. I also know that I need to wire it so that the xbox is displayed on it. I kept the LCD the Inverter that was and still is screwed to the screen and the video card from the laptop... though I know the video card will not be much use at this point.. It was mostly just to have the female socket to match the cord that runs from the inverter and the screen. The Video card is an ATi Mobility Radeon 7500. The screen is a Quanta Display Inc. QD141X1LH02 (LK01). It also says on it that it is a 14.1" XGA. The inverter doesn't have any brand name on it so I am going to assume that it is also a product from Quanta Display Inc. but I cannot verify that. Also at the end of the cord (where it would plug into the Video card it says, BDW00 14" VGA DC025040900 D.C: 03/10/11 HIGH. TEK (C13) REV:1.0. If I knew how to I would upload a few images to help but I am not quite sure how to as this is only my second time ever posting.
