    the subject explains my question.
i can capture video from camcorder(minidv) via firewire port, can transfer pictures from camera to computer via usb, but i can't use it as a webcam. i think it is related with a driver problem. it uses the windows xp default driver "avc compliant dv camcorder", or maybe my camcorder doesn't support webcam function.
is there a specific driver for camcorders (other than the ones integrating their smartcards or memorycards into computer as a drive)? i couldn't find it in jvc's website?
there must be someone who knows the answer...
