Smalgiant, just a heads-up, you may want to revise this last message as some moderators will count it as spam, and you don't want to be found spamming Afterdawn forums. Because we're really not supposed to advertise our servers here, or seek servers to play on. Otherwise, my WoW server would be packed with people, lol.

superman well i dont know if u can do that, private servers are more for fun rather than making profiets.

on private servers u could be lv 172 with 135 in all sats(i am lol)
and go kill dharok for all you want but i dont think that anything transfers from private servers to real servers.

as i sed b4 it's more for fun rather than profiet.

    lol.

Superman, a private server and an authentic server do not interact with each other in ANY way. This means I can't play my real character on a private server, and that I can't move created items into a real server, etc etc. They just never interact.

The same is true of every sort of private server, even my WoW server, does not, in any way, interact with an authentic WoW server, so things like character or item transfer is, needless to say, impossible.

Okay, generally, the only times people get error messages is when they DON'T have everything set-up correctly, which is true even in your case.

What you need to know about the command you've edited is that, yes you pointed it at JavaC, but you don't have any lines after that telling Javac where to find the .java files.

This is an EXAMPLE of how a correctly edited BATCH file looks:
    Code:
    @echo off
    title Compiling Randoms
echo why the hell do you need antirandoms on a private server?
    cd Randoms
    "F:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_02\bin\javac.exe" *.java
    ".;./../../Moparscape.jar" *.java
    pause

This code is directly from my Compile-Randoms.bat which is included in MoparScape. It won't help you to copy and paste this at all, but by looking at it you can assess what it is that your code is missing.

Can Someone Please Post An Up-To-Date Direct Link To Java SDK

My computer is running on artificially lowered bandwidth so its like as slow as dial-up, but im still desperate to get a runescape server. I have downloaded all the files into my "runescape stuff" folder and have read Vicious88's guide through 3 times. The link to Java SDK Doesnt Work. Ive spent about 8 hours on sun.com searching for SDK i downloaded Netbeans, Which Took 6 Hours, But IT Says It needs JDK 5 or JDK 6 to install netbeans IDE. i Am way out of my depth, just wondering if soembody could post a direct link to what i need to downlaod and maybe a very short updated tutorial, if one is required.

    Greatly Appreciated.

It sucks about your download speed, but yeah, you're getting the right file.

You should have everything working out for you before too long.

Thanks for taking the time to read my guide!

    5 Days and Counting

The 29 Hour Download Was Corrupted! I Hate To Be Noobish - And Therfore have Come Up With Some Reasons.

    1. The File Is No Longer Available (Likely - Download No Longer Available)
    2. The File Was Originally Corrupted
    3. Something With My Computer (Unlikely)
    4. My Computer has Some Restrictions (ie. Time) (Possibly)
5.I Already Have Java Runtime Enviroment Maybe Its Because Of That?

If Somebody Could Take 5 minutes To Provide Me With A Link I Would Be Very Grateful. I Have Bandwidth Now.

    Happy 2008 Everybody!!

Thanks for thinking my sites are nice, lol. You know I designed that cat logo myself in Microsoft Paint. Feel free to join either/both if you like - I could always use more people on WoW.

Anyway: Runeskape, I could send you links all day, but I think one of two things are happening here. Either the Sun Microsystems server is undergoing some work and thus, has a crappy upload speed. OR, your computer and/or internet connection is not downloading at an acceptable speed.

The keyword here is speed: If a download is going far to slowly, sometimes Windows 'forgets' to download some peices of it, just to speed the process along*.

*For any other computer technicians out there, I'm aware that's not exactly how it happens, but its the easiest way to explain it.

I uploaded a collection of files, including the SDK, about two or three months ago for public download... I can try to find it again (I'm sure I have it on a disk somewhere), but the download link should still be floating around here somewhere. I know Ripper posted it a few different places for me. Eh, I'll just keep looking...

But you should do some speed tests (http://www.dslreports.com/stest - I think is the site, I'm doing this from memory) to see if your slow download is Sun Microsystem's fault, or your computer's. 'Cause if your computer is just genuinly slow, than odds are you'll always have problems downloading files bigger than 50 MB without the help of a download accelerator like Go-Zilla (most of which contain spam and various Malware).
